Buying a home is one
of the most significant decisions you will make for you and your family.
The purchase of a home has financial, emotional, social,
and environmental, and perhaps educational implications—all
of which must be thoughtfully considered. I can provide information
and a wide variety of resources to help you make this important decision.
I will do my best to help you find a home, not just a house.
Initially, I can help you determine what would be an affordable home. The financing
process begins with either a:
Pre-qualification
letter: A letter from a mortgage lender that states that you
are pre-qualified to buy a home, but does not commit the lender
to a particular mortgage amount;
or a Pre-approval
letter: A letter from a mortgage lender indicating that you
qualify for a mortgage for a specific amount. All your financial
information has been verified (credit, income, debt) and has been
approved by an underwriter. It also shows a home seller that you
are a serious, motivated buyer – and it puts you in a stronger
negotiating position.
